Happy 70th Birthday, Bob Marley! 15 Of His Greatest Tunes

Today marks what would be the 70th birthday of Robert Nesta, also known as Bob Marley. The music legend was born on February 6, 1945 and passed away on May 11, 1981 at the young age of 36. Despite his untimely death, the artist’s music continues to live on not just in his homeland of Jamaica — but all countries across the globe.

Bob Marley was such an innovative being, from the way he sung about real life issues to the feel-good rhythms of that sweet, sweet reggae music. So many artists of today credit him for inspiring their own careers as well as their lifestyle. So today, we are celebrating the incredible legacy of Tuff Gong by looking back at some of his best tunes! (Note: These are my personal favorites, so you may not see all of the well-known hits.)

1. “Duppy Conqueror” (1973)

2. “Who The Cap Fit” (1976)

3. “Stir It Up” (1973)

4. “Jammin'” (1978)
