Indie Bites of Goodness: “Rap Rehab” – Wordsmiff ft. Req Cartier [NEW VIDEO]

“To all the people that think they’re gonna make it, I wish em well…”

Two of the underground scene’s most coveted artists, Wordsmiff and Req Cartier, are back with another hip hop banger for your soul! The Brooklyn natives dropped their new single, “Rap Rehab” on Wednesday; the first introduction to their latest project “Brooklyn’s Finest”. The single was accompanied by some pretty awesome visuals shot by up and coming videographer, Julius Stukes.

The track features incredible writing ability and bass-heavy production mixed with that gritty New York sound; throwing away notions that rappers can only be categorized into certain kind of hip hop. Wordsmiff’s valiant tone and pure talent with a pen is on full display, while Req Cartier followed his peer with more than a convincing verse for anyone that might’ve doubted his abilities, or the New York rap scene in general. These two rappers have a flow that’s unmatched with lyricism to boot – leaving you with the perfect warm up track for your fall playlists.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable – and translates into one hell of a record. Check out the full track and video below and for even more Req Cartier and Wordsmiff be sure to check out the video for their first single, “County of the Kings“, now!
