Where Brooklyn at?!
Indie rappers and Brooklyn natives Wordsmiff and Req Cartier have finally dropped the long anticipated video for their anthem inspired track, “County of the Kings” on Saturday. The visual, which was shot and directed by the talented Marc Lyn and co-shot by Julius Stukes, features the two artists meandering around the borough, giving the audience a glimpse into the fame borough and the beauty behind it.
Believe it or not, the visual was the first for Lyn, which he said attests to some of the challenges he faced while producing the feature. “It was the editing that took a while,” says Lyn. “I shot the video along with [Stukes], but the editing was done by me. At the start of the production I was working a full time job and going to school full time, which made it tough.” He says, “I never thought I about making a music video!”
We absolutely LOVE the visual and the work that Lyn has done to get to this point. We can’t wait to see more work from the young producer! Put on for the city and get into the video below. Be sure to drop a comment telling us your thoughts!
